সাভারের উলাইলে ডিপজল পাইকারি বাজার এলাকায় ভাসমান দোকানে চাঁদাবাজিকে কেন্দ্র করে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনায় অন্তত ৫ জন আহত হয়েছে।
সোমবার রাতে (১৫ সেপ্টম্বর) মার্কেট কমিটির পক্ষ থেকে সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো: মানিক হোসেন এ অভিযোগ করেন। এর আগে রোববার সন্ধ্যায় এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
সংঘর্ষে আহতদের উদ্ধার করে সাভারের এনাম মেডিক্যাল কলেজসহ বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
জানা যায়, সাভারের উলাইলের ডিপজল পাইকারি বাজারের সামনে ভাসমান দোকানে দুই যুবক চাঁদা নেয়ার জন্য গেলে দোকানদারা চাঁদা দিতে অস্বীকার করেন। এ সময় ওই দুই যুবক সেখানে হট্টগোল শুরু করে এবং এক ব্যবসায়ীকে রিকশায় উঠিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার চেষ্টা করলে অন্য দোকানিরা সবাই একজোট হয়ে তাদেরকে ধরে মারধর করেন। এ সময় চাঁদাবাজরাও মার্কেটের মালিক পক্ষের এক কর্মকর্তা আজহার উদ্দিন চিশতীসহ কয়েকজনকে পিটিয়ে আহত করে। পরে আহতদের উদ্ধার করে চিকিৎসার জন্য সাভারের এনাম মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। আর দুই চাঁদাবাজকে পলাশ ডায়াগনস্টিক সেন্টারে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে।
মার্কেটের এক কর্মকর্তা বলেন, চাঁদাবাজদের কারণে তারা অসহায় হয়ে পড়েছেন, যখন তখন চাঁদাবাজরা আসে চাঁদা চাইতে। বিষয়টি তারা আইন শৃংখলাবাহিনীকে ব্যবস্থা নেয়ার অনুরোধ করেন।
ডিপজল পাইকারি বাজার কমিটি সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো: মানিক হোসেন নয়াদিগন্তকে জানান, আহতদের মধ্যে গুরুতর আজহার উদ্দিন চিশতী এনাম মেডিক্যালে চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছেন।
